Florala is a city in Covington County, Alabama, United States. The name Florala is said to have come from the city's bisection by the Florida-Alabama border. A significant part of the town lies in Florida, and thus the town was named by combining the names of Florida and Alabama. A beautiful little city, with wide streets, it borders on the north shores of Lake Jackson, which is partly in Florida and partly in Alabama.

The World's oldest Masonic Celebration is held in the City of Florala. The weeklong event takes place the last full week in June referred to by locals as the June 24th celebration. Events includes a bass tournament, horse shoe tournament, beauty contest, gospel sing, sock hop dance, street dance, 5K alligator trot, parade, antique car show, games for the children, carnival, old time heritage demonstration, fireworks, and arts and crafts in the park.

Within the quaint little City of Florala, one will find many antique shops, several Victorian- style mansions, two art galleries, a Bed and Breakfast for overnight lodging accommodations, a large family style buffet and restaurant specializing in Southern style family cooking. Within the Tri-City area, across the State line one can see the highest point of Florida at 345 feet above sea level.

Other activities in Flroala are the Worlds Domino Tournament held in Andalusia, Alabama. The domino tournament takes place during the month of July.

The Opp Jaycees host the Annual Rattle Snake rodeo each year in March.
